Kitchen and Laundry Room Addition

The Millers were looking for a bit more space in their kitchen. Bart Ikens helped them develop a kitchen remodeling solution with a four foot addition to the kitchen area and converting part of existing garage space to a laundry room. The kitchen addition is limited to the main floor of the home and cantilevers into the former deck area. The old laundry room now holds mudroom lockers and the desk that was formerly in the kitchen. The new space allowed room for a larger multi-level kitchen island with additional counter and cupboard space.

The new laundry room was created using ten feet of the 3-stall garage. This was enough to create a spacious laundry storage room with plenty of room to work.

Multi-Level Kitchen Island

The two-tiered kitchen island (also known as a multi-level kitchen island) has numerous outlets and lots of storage space. The new partial glass pantry door is more decorative.

The bathroom remodel in the hallway includes a vessel sink and a pocket door.
