Your decision to remodel your home instead of building new is in itself a commitment to the environment. Our philosophy for building on your commitment begins with a sound design. Creating functional space that you will use for years to come is the greenest thing we can do. Care for the environment has long been a focus of our company. Many of the products we use on our remodel sites are comprised in some portion of recycled materials. By using mini-excavation equipment with rubber tracks we are able to minimize damage or erosion of top soil. We’re also committed to recycling at the Dakota County Eco-Site and donating to the Re-Use Center. Each project is unique in the scope and scale to which green remodeling practices can be applied. Your project can be as green as you want it to be. Discuss your desires for specific products, materials and approaches with your salesperson. We already know the pride you will feel when your project is complete. Imagine knowing the choices you’ve made helped keep our planet green. |

It’s EASY being GREEN...Or at least it can be!
As you enter the process of remodeling or updating your home, choose products that are energy efficient and conserve resources by design and you will not only save money in the long run, but contribute toward sustaining the environment. When choosing materials and fixtures for your home look for products that have these ratings:
ENERGY STAR

Choosing windows and doors with the Energy Star rating makes heating and cooling your home more efficient. That saves you money and helps conserve energy which reduces pollution caused by power plants.
Energy Star rated appliances use up to 10%-50% less energy and water than standard models. The money saved on utility bills more than makes up for a slightly higher price tag.
Switching out your most frequently used lighting fixtures with Energy Star rated fixtures or bulbs will significantly reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions from power plants.
